For the Chicken Patties:
- 1 lb ground chicken
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup onion finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil for cooking
For the Gravy:
- 1 tbsp butter
- ½ cup onion finely chopped
- 1 cup mushrooms sliced
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups beef or chicken broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- ½ tsp dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Prepare the Patties: Mix ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Form into 4 oval patties.
Cook the Patties: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Set aside.
Make the Gravy: In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onions and mushrooms. Stir in flour, then gradually add broth. Mix in Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and thyme. Simmer until thickened.
Combine & Serve: Return patties to skillet, coat with gravy, and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Serve hot with mashed potatoes or vegetables.
