  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • ½ tsp sugar

For Serving:

Instructions

Step 1: Marinate the Beef

  • In a bowl, combine flank steak, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil.
  • Toss well to coat and let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  • 💡 Tip: Slicing beef against the grain ensures tenderness.

Step 2: Prepare the Sauce

  • In a small bowl, whisk together hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sugar. Set aside.

Step 3: Stir-Fry the Beef

  • Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat.
  • Add the marinated beef in a single layer and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until browned.
  • Remove beef from the wok and set aside.
  • 💡 Tip: Cook in batches to avoid overcrowding and ensure a perfect sear.

Step 4: Cook the Vegetables

  • In the same wok, add 1 tbsp vegetable oil.
  • Sauté garlic and ginger for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add mushrooms, cabbage, and carrots; stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.
  • 💡 Tip: Keep the heat high and stir frequently for the best texture!

Step 5: Combine Everything

  • Return the cooked beef to the wok.
  • Pour in the prepared stir-fry sauce and toss everything for 1-2 minutes until well coated.
  • Stir in sliced green onions for a fresh finish.

Step 6: Serve & Enjoy!

  • Warm the Mandarin pancakes or flour tortillas.
  • Spoon the Moo Shu Beef into each pancake, drizzle with extra hoisin sauce, and roll up.
  • 🔥 Optional: For a low-carb version, serve over steamed rice or lettuce wraps instead.
